In the aftermath of Wednesday’s tragic crash of a military Z‑9 helicopter that claimed the lives of eight individuals, including Ghana’s Defence Minister Edward Omane Boamah and Environment Minister Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, President John Dramani Mahama during his state of nation address today, has ordered the establishment of a board of enquiry to determine the cause of the incident. Presidential Response President Mahama immediately declared three days of national mourning and suspended his public engagements, describing the crash as a “national tragedy”. Finance Minister Cassiel Ato Forson has been appointed as acting Defence Minister to maintain continuity in government leadership. The review provides a rare glimpse into the government’s fiscal strategy, emerging challenges, and how it plans to reshape Ghana’s economic direction. Graduates from Zenith University College get no employment opportunities after completing the College resulted from delay in certification. A view of Zenith University College The move of this rejection, is due to the inability of the College to issue them the certified Certificate after graduating the institute. Resulting in the failure of the Graduate to prove the sense of graduated from the claimed institution. The House  voted Thursday to pass the Equality Act, a  Democrat-backed bill  meant to ban discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. The bill passed by a 224-to-206 vote along party lines. Three Republicans joined Democrats to vote in favor of the legislation. "The LGBT community has waited long enough," Rep. David Cicilline, D-R.I., who is gay and co-sponsored the bill, said ahead of the vote. "The time has come to extend the blessings of liberty and equality to all of Americans regardless of who they are and who they love." The Equality Act updates existing civil right and labor laws to strengthen protections for the LGBTQ community. The protections would apply to a broad array of categories ranging from education to housing to credit and other areas.   People who wear glasses could be up to three times less likely to be infected by coronavirus, a study from India has suggested. One way the virus can enter the body is by people touching their eyes, nose or mouth after coming into contact with it. However, researchers in India say people who wear glasses rub their eyes less and are therefore at less risk of contracting Covid-19. In a non-peer reviewed study published on the website medRxiv, the researchers studied 304 people (223 male and 81 female) at a hospital in northern India over two weeks last summer. The patients were aged between 10 and 80 and had all reported Covid symptoms. Of those, 19 per cent said they wore glasses most of the time. The researchers found participants touched their face up to 23 times each hour on average and their eyes an average of three times per hour.
